California Tour Diary - June 29, 2013

June 29, 2013: We are all starting to realize that our trip is winding down, and while we are sad that our journey is soon coming to an end, we are excited to see our families in a few days. We still have a day at Disneyland and a day at the beach before packing our suitcases for the final time. After senior night we let the gang sleep in this morning and after eating a hot breakfast boarded our bus for a half day sightseeing excursion at the Santa Monica waterfront. Many of us walked the pier, with a few even taking a ride on the roller coaster. Others walked the beach and walked the shoreline and most of us took in the 3rd Street Promenade where more window shopping took place and where we watched many street performers sing, dance and entertain all. We made the short drive over to Long Beach where we performed our final full concert at the Los Altos United Methodist Church. As always it was an emotional night with this being the final concert for the seniors.  Two standing ovations later, there was not a dry eye in the church.

Next stop: Disneyland!
